TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Magical Moments refers to ‘Magical Moment Events’.
These guidelines are provided for the safety of all persons using this equipment. It is the sole responsibility of YOU, THE HIRER to ensure that these safety guidelines are fully adhered to at all times and that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury to any person or damage to the inflatable.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required one week prior to the booking date if not already paid.
If you need to cancel your booking before the final payment is due, you will forfeit the 20% deposit.
If a cancellation is made within one week of the booking date, you will forfeit 50% of the total payment.
Weather-Related Rescheduling: If we have to cancel due to unsafe weather, we can reschedule the booking up to a maximum of three times. If it’s still not possible to hire the equipment after the third attempt, we will refund all payments made, but will retain the deposit.
Supplier Cancellation: In the unforeseen event that we (the supplier) are unable to fulfill the agreement, we will provide a full refund of all amounts paid, this is including the deposit, or we can propose a new reschedule date.
Inflatable Use and Safety
The inflatable is to be used strictly by the ages specified. Adults are not permitted on any castle unless it is specifically an “Adult Castle” due to safety, manufacturing, and insurance restrictions.
The hirer is fully responsible for the inflatable during the hire period and must ensure it is returned in a clean, undamaged condition, with the exception of fair wear and tear. The hirer will be liable for the full cost of any repairs or cleaning. To clean the inflatable, use only a damp cloth with warm, soapy water. Solvents or other chemical cleaning fluids must not be used. Face paint must be cleaned off immediately to prevent permanent staining; wet wipes are effective for this.
The hirer is responsible for the safe use of the inflatable and for any accidents, injuries, or losses that occur while the inflatable is on hire, except when operated by a Magical Moments Bouncy Castle operative. It is strongly advised that the hirer takes out public liability insurance for the duration of the hire.
Do not allow party poppers, coloured streamers, silly string, sand, cigarettes, chewing gum, food, or drinks on or near the inflatable.
Do not overcrowd the inflatable. The number of users should be kept at a safe and sensible level. We recommend no more than six children at any one time.
Children are not permitted to climb or hang on the inflatable’s walls. All boisterous or rough play, including somersaults or back-flips, must be stopped.
For health and safety reasons, do not allow smaller children on the inflatable at the same time as older or more boisterous children.
Users must remove shoes, spectacles, jewellery, badges, buckles, and any other hard, sharp, or dangerous objects before using the inflatable. Socks must be worn at all times.
The inflatable must only be used by children under constant adult supervision.
The inflatable will only be set up on a grassed area where it can be securely pegged down. For indoor hires, the inflatable will be weighted down with specifically supplied sandbags.
The hirer is not permitted to move the inflatable once it has been set up. Please contact us if you require assistance.
Do not allow children on the inflatable while it is being inflated or deflated.
Children with a history of back or neck problems are not permitted to use the inflatable.
The front step is for entry and exit only. Children are not permitted to bounce on the step.
If outdoors, the inflatable must not be used in wet or windy conditions (maximum wind speed is Force 5 on the Beaufort scale, 19-24 mph). In such conditions, the hirer must evacuate the children and deflate the inflatable by switching off the fan at the mains power supply until conditions improve. The inflatable must then be re-inflated and any excess water dried off before it is used again. We reserve the right to cancel any hire agreement if the weather is deemed unsafe for use.
The hirer is responsible for periodically checking that the metal stakes and safety mats are securely in place.
We cannot be held responsible for any damage to underground services caused by our ground stakes.
The equipment shall not be used for any purpose other than what is described in the hire agreement. The hirer shall not sub-hire the equipment or allow it to be used for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way.
Magical Moments will collect the equipment at a pre-agreed time. Do not allow anyone else to remove the equipment. If you are unsure of their identity, please call us immediately, as theft of such equipment is a growing concern.
PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE is entirely excluded for any claim or injury to any third party or employee, whether directly or indirectly related to the use of drugs and/or alcohol. Magical Moments excludes any liability for injury, loss, or damage caused to any person using the equipment contrary to the terms and conditions of this contract. No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs should be allowed to use or supervise the equipment.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Provided that the equipment is used in accordance with the above guidelines and conditions, those using the inflatable should do so safely. However, accidents can happen. Magical Moments can accept no liability for injuries sustained or any other loss, however caused, in the absence of negligence by Magical Moments Bouncy Castles or its employees.
As the equipment will be in the hirer’s possession and control while in use, rather than Magical Moments’, any liability for injuries or other losses rests with YOU, THE HIRER. It is therefore strongly recommended that the hirer has adequate public liability insurance to cover their liability arising from the use of the inflatable and associated equipment.
I DECLARE that I am over 18 years of age and that I have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms & Conditions of Hire and Safety Instructions above. I sign this contract fully aware of the implications and responsibilities placed upon me by doing so.
